WP7: Inappsettings
I want to display a settings screen when the app launches for the first time, but in the tutorial I found on the web, they do something like the code below:
private void Application_Launching(object sender, LaunchingEventArgs e)
{
// Handle the Launching event of the application
}
I don't want to handle this event, I just want to display a screen with settings. Do you have any ideas how to do that?
A:
I believe that the best way to do this is to create a small second app that will be launched automatically (in the system tray for example).
The first app will just call the function inside the second.
In the second app you'll create the screen with the settings.
Now all you need to do is to create a package that will be part of the first app and that will call the second app on the launch. This way you won't even need to do any code in the main app because you'll be calling the launch on the first app.
In a digital subscriber line (DSL) communications system, the ability to provide for remote operation or control of DSL equipment is generally necessary to provide services such as intelligent network services and/or provide a customer communication management capability, such as providing a gateway into an Advanced Intelligent Network (AIN).
For example, service providers can provide service monitoring and diagnostic capability to DSL customer sites using a service monitoring device (e.g., a remote service monitor) connected by a data path to a communication network that provides a DSL service. As such, the service monitoring device can collect information regarding operation of the DSL equipment
